2. Sew these 2 units together, creating a larger diamond. The center seams will intersect at the ¼″ seamline. Fig. C

3. Sew the long side of a triangle to the opposite sides of each large diamond. Fig. D

4. Arrange these rectangular units around the center square. Place the square on the end of 1 rectangle, right sides together. Begin sewing these pieces together along the side. Stop halfway through the square and secure with a short backstitch. This is a partial seam. Fig. E

5. Finish sewing on the rectangular units and complete the partial seam. (See Geese Squared Block and Geese Squared Pinwheel Variation Block, Steps 3–6).
